Achievements of the Decent Life Initiative

“A Decent Life” has achieved many achievements on the ground, contributing to developing the lives of millions of citizens in the poorest villages, and the projects are progressing in full swing in a race against time, faster than the expected rate, to raise the individual’s standard of living in all aspects of life, from “Education, health, electricity delivery, water and sanitation networks, education and establishing libraries, and supporting families financially and socially.

A report by the Maat Foundation revealed that the initiative aims to change the lives of more than 58 million citizens, by creating a comprehensive boom in infrastructure and basic services, improving the quality of citizens’ economic, social and cultural lives, bringing about a positive change in their standard of living, and creating a new reality of comprehensive, sustainable development for these local rural communities. . The report pointed out that the national project to develop the Egyptian countryside, “A Decent Life,” is the dream of the new republic, which has brought about a qualitative leap in improving the Egyptian countryside, which has long suffered from a lack of basic components. This initiative seeks to address the neglect that Egypt’s governorates have suffered over the past years, as the state began directing attention towards the neediest citizens, and more precisely the poorest areas, which are concentrated in the countryside in general, and the countryside of Upper Egypt in particular. Therefore, the state adopted the national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside, “A Decent Life,” targeting 4,741 villages, with investments exceeding 700 billion pounds.
